Environmental Health Association of Ireland Primary Food Safety Course
A level two food safety course certified by the Environmental Health Association of Ireland which meets the requirements of the Food Safety Authority of Ireland training guidelines at Level Two. All training materials have been developed and approved by the Environmental Health Association of Ireland. The course complies with the training requirements of current food safety legislation and environmental health officers.

The course is suited to anybody looking for employment or already employed in the retail, catering & food processing industries, including supermarkets, restaurants, canteens, coffee shops, hotels, butchers, filling stations, convenience stores, crèches, nursing homes, food factories etc.
8 hours (Usually 2 half days)

- Microbiological hazards
- Food contamination
- HACCP – Food Delivery, Storage, Preparation, Cooking & Service
- Personal hygiene
- Food premises & equipment
- Pest control
- Cleaning & disinfection
- Food safety law & enforcement
Preferred Entry Level:
Basic understanding of English language. No special requirements. Please indicate your level of experience in the food industry (if any) on the attached form.
There is a one hour multiple choice and short answer examination at the end of the course.
€155 per person. – This includes all course handouts, exam fees and Certificate to participants who successfully complete the end of course exam.
